The client could not connect to the remote computer using TSWeb
Q: I have some clients who want to use tsweb to access their office
servers. They keep receiving "The client could not connect to the remote
computer". I tested my two servers at home and office. I get the same
issue.
1. You can access those server using TSWeb internally.
2. The ports 3389 and 80 are open, and you can telnet them from the
outside.
3. Use RDC from outside to connect those server work fine.
4, You type
http:\publicipadress\tsweb,
the tsweb connection page show up. After typing the server private IP
address and press Connect, you receive above message.
Any suggestions?
A: You should type the public IP or Internet FQDN instead of private IP. Related Topics Troubleshooting terminal server issues
