Can't access remote computer over xfinity modem - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: the client has open port 3389 on his xfinity modem for accessing his computer remotely. However, it doesn't work. He can't telnet the port 3389 from the Internet.

Resolution: The peer-to-peer applications may be blocked. Login the xfinity modem. Go to Gateway>Firewall. Under Custom Security, uncheck Block peer-to-peer applications.
