Some DHCP Issues
Symptoms: 1. You can see wireless, but can’t access.
2. The clients are waiting for releasing an IP address.
3. You may receive IP conflict message.
Case 1: Some wireless devices can get IP from the DHCP but others.
The DHCP statistics show 0% available and it is out of the IP addresses.
Resolution: 1. Added more IP addresses.
2. Cut the IP address release time.
Case 2: There are two DHCP in the same subnet and IP without exclusive
settings.
Case 3: On the DHCP server, we can see some bad address. Even I have
deleted all bad addresses, but they will come back. Using ARP and Mac
address to problematic device. Finally it points to an AP that hold many IP
addresses and don't release them. That causes IP conflict and bad address
