Chicago Area Laptop for rent: $35 per day plus $10 for additional day
rental

Event ID 1030 Source Userenv

Folder Redirection doesn't work

Situation: 1. The client has a SBS 2003 with Folder Direction group policy.

2. When the user logon, the Event Viewer has Event ID 1030 - "Windows cannot query for the list of Group Policy objects. A message that describes the reason for this was previously logged by the policy engine" listed.

Troubleshooting: All users except one work fine. If the user logon other computer, the folder redirection also works. Other users logon his computer, the policy also works. The gpresult shows the folder direction policy is applied to the user. When we checked the logon Information Properties, it shows the user name is assigned to server\username as shown below. It should be domainname\username, for example chicagotech\blin. after changing the server name to domain, it works.
