Lose connecting to VMware after adding a new NIC - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: the client has VMware 5. After they added 4 new NICs on the host, they can't access the host and VMs any more.

Troubleshooting: in VMware console, we find the default management network connection has been changed after the adding the nic. The original default network adapter is Embedded NIC 1. Now it switch to PIE3. Uncheck the PCIE3 and check the Embedded NIC 1. That fixes the problem.
