Vista Network Discovery is disabled By design, the Network Discovery is disabled if the Network type is Public for the security reason. The Network Discovery is also disabled if the computer is in a domain network because it is controlled by the Group Policy and it is turned off by default. To enable Network Discovery, follow these steps: 1. Make sure that Function Discovery Provider Host service is running. 2. Make sure the Windows Firewall has exception enabled for Network Discovery. 3. Make sure the Network type is private. Post your questions, comments, feedbacks and suggestions Related Topics |
