Situation: When trying to delete failover Cluster from Windows 2012 by following this post: Can't remove failover Cluster in Windows 2012, I receive this message:

This cluster cannot be destroyed. It has non-core application groups which must be deleted before the cluster can be destroyed as shown below

Resolution: 1. Open Failover Cluster.

2. Click role to check any role is running. If yes, delete it. IN our case, we have ClientAP running.

3. After removing the role, re-run remote-cluster command.
