Q: VPN doesn’t work after 2003 SP1

Pre Sp1 VPN's work as desired - using RRAS and PPTP.  I'm using remote XP clients. After Sp1, I can create the VPN but no longer map a drive or ping.  Is there a setting I'm missing?

A1: can you ping the IP?

Reply: Thanks Robert for the response.
I cannot ping the IP address of the server after Sp1.

A2: we need more information to help.
1. assuming you have just one NIC in the server, use ipconfig to find out PPTP IP and ping that ip from VPN client. If it doesn't work, check if any firewall blocking the ping.
2. If you have two NICs, have you enabled the NAT?

Reply2: Thanks again Robert.  I've tried it again and now it's working.  I must have
been doing something daft at the time.
