Access is denied" "You do not have permission to view or edit the current permission setting for the sharename" Case 1: Since my SBS 2003 crashed, I rebuilt the the SBS 2003. I can view the all data located on D drive but not edit them and save the new files, even logon administrator. Any ideas? Case 2: The client transferred data from one hard drive to another. After that he can't modify the data and all files marked read only. Case 3: We have a shared folder on the SBS and everyone cane access it. However, administrator who logs on locally or console can't access the folder. If he tries to access it, he will receives "H:\shared is no accessible. Access is denied". Case 4: When attempting to check the folder security, you may receive this message even you logon administrator: "You do not have permission to view or edit the current permission setting for the sharename, but you can take ownership or change the auditing settings". Troubleshooting: 1. Make sure you assign permissions to the user. To do that, right click on the file or folder. Select Properties>Security>Add. 2.
