Because E2K3 is still present in the routing group
there should be a Routing Group Master. E2K7 doesn't use Routing
Groups. You can ignore that error (unless you have other E2K3 servers).

Exchange Server 2003's Intelligent Message Filter

Filter Agent in Exchange Server 2007 are blackboxes -
there's no visibility
into how they filter spam or what's included in the
updates.
You can certainly use your own keywords, IP Block
List Providers (RBLs),
Sender ? helps... ), etc, and/or tweak the SCL thresholds.
If it doesn't seem to work for you, look at 3rd-party
solutions and
services, including Microsoft's own filtering service
provided by Exchange

Without guidance, how does the Bayesian filter learn?
Statistical filters work well for individuals. For
enterprises, not so well. One person's spam is another one's mailing
list. IOW, don't place a large dependence on this technique, no matter
what the proponents say. The tokenizer is the key part of
statistical filters. What parts of the message will be used as tokens?
What parts of images will participate? Is whitespace the boundary for
words? Or does the tokenizer chop the message into fixed sized chunks
(say, five characters)? Do the tokens overlap? Important
questions if you have to deal with written languages that don't depend on
whitespace to separate words. :-)

Slow? They'll stop it if you're not careful.

Message.msg
ECHO Thank you,>> Message.msg
ECHO Mr. Ollivander, Proprietor>>Message.msg

MOVE Message.msg "D:\EXCHSRVR\Mailroot\vsi 1\PickUp"
The last line moves the message file to the PickUp
directory on the Exchange

runs must have access
to write to that directory. --

If your EVS fails over, you have to restart your BES
services.
Once the BES server loses access to whatever Exchange
Mailbox server, it
will stop working, even if that Exchange server comes
back online (in your
case cluster failover).

Are you running Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES)?
If so, it's my
understanding that BES uses MAPI, which would be
connecting to the mailbox
role server (back-end). I'd guess that what you're
seeing is that the
failover breaks the MAPI connection, and the BES
probably doesn't reconnect
gracefully. --

Outlook. I like to simply start outlook with either the

Outlook Web Access. But a better answer is to stop
backing up individual
mailboxes, i.e., stop doing brick backups, and back
up only the Information
Store object. Set your deleted item recovery and
deleted mailbox recovery
periods to a long enough period so you don't have to
restore mailboxes. --

Your Exchange 2003 users are getting OWA through the
CAS? I don't know if
there's a way to fix the problem there, but the
Exchange 2003 users could
get OWA through an Exchange 2003 front-end or their
back-end server. --

Not to a bogus one, nor to an additional address in
their own mailbox, nor
to one assigned to an object on which they don't have
Send As rights....

You can send only as the primary/default address. > > > Is there a way to implement this so that the

Not really, if these addresses are part of the users'
mailboxes (as
aliases). See ChooseFrom at www.ivasoft.biz for an
option.
Otherwise, you can assign the additional addresses to
other mail-enabled
objects (mailboxes or distribution groups) and grant
the user Send As rights
to it ....then they can use the From field.
Yep, it's all pretty clumsy.

Fairly certain this level of granular control isn't
available. There are
plenty of other options available using
Set-CASMailbox to granularly allow
or "remove" certain features like deleted item
recovery, mobile device mgmt,
etc.
