Situation: When attempting to login a Windows 2012 Essentials Server running as a DC, a regular user (no-admin account) may receive this message: "To sign in remotely, you need the right to sign in thought remote Desktop Services.

Resolution: You may have many options.

1. Add the user to the administrators group.

2. If you don't want to add the user to the Administrators group, you may want to add the user to Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services. To do that, open Local Security Policy, navigate to Security Settings>Local Policies>User Rights Assignment. Add the user to Allow log on through Remote Desktop Services.
