configuring a component. 2. The following errors appear in the \Program Files\Microsoft Windows Small Business Server\Support\Icwlog.txt log file: Error 0x8007258b returned from call to Enabling secure dynamic DNS updates(). Error 0x8007258b returned from call to CNetCommit::Common(). Error 0x8007258b returned from call to CNetCommit::Commit(). Cause: This problem may occur if the DNS is setup incorrectly. Case 1: The SBS DNS points to the ISP DNS. Case 2: The DNS forward lookup zone for the Active Directory namespace is not set to Active Directory-integrated. Case 3: The DNS is not set Dynamic updates to Secure only. Case 4: The DNS is pointing to 127.0.0.1 IP address. Related Topics
