Failed to access SBS Internal Web site from the Internet

Cannot access SBS companyweb

Symptom: The client can access the RWW and logon the server remotely. However, when trying to access Administer the company’s internal Web site, he received the following message:

You are not authorized to view this page

The Web server you are attempting to reach has a list of IP addresses that are not allowed to access the Web site, and the IP address of your browsing computer is on this list.

Please try the following:

• Contact the Web site administrator if you believe you should be able to view this directory or page.

HTTP Error 403.6 - Forbidden: IP address of the client has been rejected.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

Resolution: You need to assign remote computer public IP address to IP Address and Domain Name Restrictions. To do that, open IIS from Server Management and double-click on Web site. Right-click on companyweb and select Properties. Select Directory Security and then IP Address and Domain Name Restrictions. If the Denied  access is checked, add the remote public IP address here. Or check the Grant access that will let any one to access the companyweb from the Intrenet.

Note:

1. make sure port 80 and 444 are open.

2. Make sure local path is c:\inetpub\companyweb with Read checked.

3. Select directory Security. Make sure only Integrated Windows Authentication checked Under Authentication and access control.
