Fax Server Information cannot be Retrieved. The Wizard will now close

Symptom: When trying to setup SBS Fax on a client, you may receive this message: “Fax Server Information cannot be Retrieved. The Wizard will now close”.

Case 1: The computer doesn’t join the domain and he logon using local computer username. Resolution: creating a domain user name matches the local user name and password.

Case 2: The user logon local user name that is different from his domain user name. Resolution: logon domain user name.

Case 3: The user has been using the Fax for over 4 months. It doesn’t work after enabling RRAS on the SBS. Resolution: The SBS server has a name resolution issue.
