Can't edit Disk in Windows 2008 Hyper-V

Case 1: When you click Edit Disk in Windows 2008 R2 Hyper-V, the Next is grayed out and can't continue.

Troubleshooting: the original vhd was created in c:\ClusterStorage\CSV-SATA01\2008TS-FC01\ and then has been moved to different location. If you click Settigns under teh VM, you will see the current vhd location. Browse the curren location, you should be able to continue to edit.

Case 2: When you click Settings on VM and try to edit a virtual disk, the Edit is grayed out as shown below.

Causes: 1. Check the Status of the VM. In our case, The Merge in Process.

2. If the VM is in saved state or pause, you may not the Edit option.
