Troubleshooting failed import an exported Hyper-V VM

Case 1: if you exported the VM to a drive and then copy to another computer or rename the VM, you may need to modify the config.xml file. Please refer to this post: Import Failed. Unable to find virtual machine import files

Case 2: If you receive error code 80070057 while importing an VM, it could be the network switch issue. Re-configure it. This post may help: Can't import exported VM with error 80070057

Case 3: If you get: Import Failed. Unable to find virtual machine import files under location D:\Exported. The config.xml file may be missing or need to modify. Please refer to this post: Unable to find virtual machine import files

Case 4: the name of the VM’s .exp file on the local host will have been changed during the copy. You may want to use robocopy to copy the exported folder. Please refer to this post: Fail import VM: system can't find path specified 80070003

Case 5: If you can’t import the VM, it could be the permission issue.
