Anywhere Access to your server is blocked in Windows 2012 Essentials - Resolution with screenshots

Situation: When attempting to configure Anywhere Access on Windows 2012 Essentials, you may receive this message: UPnP is not enabled on the router and Anywhere Access to your server is blocked.


Resolution: 1. Go to your router to enable UPnP.

2. If you have both modem and router on your network, you may want to configure DMZ on the modem so that all traffics are pass through to the UPnP router.

3. Setup port 443 forwarding to the Windows 2012 essentials manually.
