If you have a wired NIC and receive "Media disconnected" error, check these:

1. Use ipconfig /renew to obtain a new IP.
2. Make sure the green light is on when connecting to a hub/switch.
3. Update the NIC driver.
4. Make sure you have good cable.
5. Try to assign a static IP.
