Error 733 - the PPP control protocol for this network protocol is not available on the server.
Event ID 20050 –
-
The user Domain\User connected to port VPNx has been disconnected Q1: I've
configured w2003 server -> routing and remote access, using PPTP. But when
I try to connect from client I get error "TCP/IP CP reported error 733. A
connection to the remote computer could not be completed. You might need to
adjust protocols on this computer". In the server system log is : The user
"xxx" connected to port VPN4-127 has been disconnected because no network
protocols were successfully negotiated.(Event ID:20050). A1: You may receive above errors
if you configure Dial-in Media incorrectly. A2: Thank you for the update. Yes, if the VPN client can’t receive a IP address from the DHCP, you may have this issue. If this is the case, you may want to setup IP Address Pool. Bob Lin, MS-MVP, MCSE & CNE Related Topics
