VM blue screen case collections

1. The client created a VM running Windows 2003 on Windows hyper-v server. It has been working fine. Recently, the VM keeps rebooting with blue screen.

Troubleshooting: After reviewing all settings, we found someone increased the RAM from 3GB to 4GB on the VM. However, the Windows 2008 physical server has only total 6GB RAM. We reduced the VM RAM back to 3GB. That fixes the problem.

2. The client is running VMware. One of Virtual machines has blue screen issue. We fixed it by turning off a BIOS feature called Memory Protection.

3. In our case,  we fixes it by disabling Windows DEP.

4. There is the bug with USB keyboards and VMWare 6.0 was acknowledged by the VM team. That may cause blue screen.
