"File creation error - The semaphore timeout period has expired"

NIC driver related case:

1. We receive the following error message: “Cannot access folder because the path is too long or deep” when attempting to copy a large files to Windows 2000 server. However, we don’t have this issue when copying to other servers. After updated the NIC driver, it works now. Refer to How to modify NIC Speed and Duplex settings

2. I can copy large files or large number of files from the network to my laptop but when I copy large files or large number of files from my laptop to the network I get this problem. Replacing another NIC seems to fix this problem.
