Outlook doesn’t sync created folders to yahoo email.

Q: I am not sure this is Outlook issue or yahoo issue. One of our clients has yahoo holding their email. Outlook can read and send or sync email without any issues. However, when the client creates folders on her Outlook. Those folders are not syncing with yahoo. In my Outlook, if I create a folder name called Vacation.

I can see the Vacation Folder in Yahoo.

In her Yahoo, it doesn’t show the folders she created.

What different are my yahoo is personal while her is small business. Where is the settings on Outlook or yahoo to sync those fondlers?

A: The difference are the POP is one way sync while IMAP is two ways sync. IMAP protocol can sync folder from Outlook desktop app to mail server. If this client uses POP protocol, subfolders created on Outlook desktop app won’t sync to server, for POP protocol supports only 1-way sync (from mail server to Outlook desktop), which means subfolder won’t sync to mail server.
